When giving yourself an at-home facial, there is no wrong way to do it, so if you skip a step, or forget to do a step, don't worry :) This is just the way I do it!
For my Exfoliator, I make my own. I use the Baking Soda trick! There are many other DIY exfoliators that you can do like, the oatmeal with honey one for example, for sensitive skin! :)
Ingredients:
- Baking Soda (doesn't matter about the amount)
- Water (doesn't matter about the amount)
Tips:
- Only use the Baking soda trick when your face isn't so sensitive!! It can be shocking, or too rough for the face! So be careful!! :)
- Texture of the exfoliator= to have the water completely dry, and have kind of dry texture to it!
Directions:
- Rinse face with luke warm water, so that your pores will open.
- Take your exfoliator and scrub for 30 seconds around the face.
- Remove the scrub with cold water, to close your pores. Pat dry with a towel!
The next step to giving yourself a facial is the Cleanser! Now for me, I use honey!! :) As I have said before in a previous post, honey cleans, and helps prevent build-up on your face. Such as dirt, which causes blemishes!
Ingredients:
- Honey
Tips:
- Make sure you fully wash off the honey around the hair line, hair gets sticky, when honey on it oblivious! :)
- Be careful not to get the honey in your eyes!
Directions:
- Clean your face using you basic cleanser (on in this case, honey)
- Use circular motions with your washcloth to get a nice gentle clean.
- Rinse with luke warm water
The next step is using your Mask! (This part is totally optional!!)
I don't have a DIY version of a mask yet!! So, for now just use your normal mask :)
Tips:
- Be careful not to get it in your eyes!!
Directions:
- Lather your mask all over your face.
- Leave it on for about 10 to 15 mins
- Rinse off with cold water
And that's that!! :) I really hope this helps!!
